In the 31 July 1954 edition of Billboard magazine, they asked a bunch of TV industry people to vote for 'the best non-network miscellaneous film series'. Topping the list was 'Kieran's Kaleidoscope', with 364 points. 'Industry on Parade' was ranked 23rd on a 29 show list (tied with 4 other series, each of which got 5 points. Which meant it still came ahead of 'Find a Hobby' with 2 points and the 29th-ranked series on the list called 'Little Story Shop' with 1 point). Clearly, few people in the TV industry considered it their favourite non-network miscellaneous film series (and Billboard did not include the series on their non-network documentary film series list, which was topped by syndicated repeats of 'Victory at Sea', of all things).
I did a search of TV schedules for New York City, and in that city at least it aired on Saturdays during dubious time-slots (12:45PM in a 1954 schedule, 12:30PM in a 1950 schedule).
Is this episode incomplete? Some of the schedules I came across show the program in a 15-minute time-slot, and 15-minute shows in those days usually ran 11-13 minutes minus ads (did this series even have a sponsor?).
But all that useless information aside, I found the narration to be appalling and dumb, but the footage is excellent. I give it 4 stars just for all of the interesting footage it contains.

Interesting observation. It may have been a given, in the days prior to game downloads, that you needed to

have the CD in the drive to install or play the game. Most games run a CD check for the key code each

time you launch the game.

But you look like an honest type, and it's only fair you should be able to play what you paid for..

( I haven't actually done done the following without the disk in a CD drive, or from an external drive, but it

should work (I've had to do this because of DRM issues that prevented a couple of games from installing from

the disk, but I kept the CD in the drive during the process).
